Derry City are up to second in the Premier Division table following a 3-1 win away to ten-man St. Pat's on Tuesday night.

The Candystrips were 3 nil up by the half hour mark with Patrick McClean, Gerardo Bruna and Junior netting to give Derry the perfect start.

Gary Shaw pulled a goal back for the host as Kevin Toner was sent off in an action packed first half.

With Bohemians losing 1-0 to Dundalk, Derry move up a place in the table, eights points behind Shamrocks Rovers and ahead of Bohs on goal difference.
