Irish Water to begin upgrade on Rossnowlagh supply


Irish Water have announced plans to replace problematic mains and help maintain water supply in Rossnowlagh during holiday season.
From Monday, the company will restrict water supply at between 11pm and 7am for customers supplied from the Ballyshannon Public Water Supply Scheme in the Rossnowlagh area during the Easter Holiday season.
Irish water is upgrading the pumping system supplying water to the Rossnowlagh area to cater for the increased demand for high quality drinking water in Rossnowlagh during the Easter Holidays.
The company have said they’re managing to supply water to the area currently however with activity due to pick up over the next few weeks, reserves will start to drain.
As a result from Monday, anyone supplied by the Ballyshannon Public Water Supply Scheme in the area of Rossnowlagh will be subject to night time water restrictions to facilitate the infrastructure upgrade.
Irish Water is also urging residents, businesses and visitors in Rossnowlagh to conserve water to help prevent any supply shortages later in the summer.
