Today marks the launch of a county-wide billboard campaign highlighting the role of wind energy in tackling climate change.
It's part of a wider national campaign backed by Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment Richard Bruton and the Irish Wind Energy Association.
Wind energy's central role in Ireland's fight against climate change is being highlighted inthe national campaign being launched across the country today.
In Donegal posters will appear in locations across the county including in Ballybofey, Ballyshannon, Bundoran, Donegal Town and Letterkenny.
The rollout of the project comes as latest reports from the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland found that wind energy was responsible for the avoidance of 2.7 million tonnes of CO2 being emitted into the atmosphere here in 2017.
The posters will appear on 45 billboards and bus shelters across the country over the next two weeks.
