Sinn Fein meet Gardai over surge in border crime


Assurances have been given that Gardai in Donegal are working on a cross-border basis with the PSNI, in a bid to tackle the surge in criminality in Inishowen over recent weeks.
A Sinn Fein delegation met yesterday with Senior Gardai after numerous reports of suspicious actitivty and break ins in the locality.
Donegal Senator Padraig MacLochlainn says it is believed those responsible are operating from bases in Derry and deliberately targeting the border areas as an easy getaway.
