Staycations boost Irish tourism this summer


Staycations have boosted Irish tourism this summer – with 70 percent of hotels and guest houses saying business is up.
The Irish Hotels Federation says employment’s up too, with the industry on track to create 40,000 new jobs by 2021.
However Federation President Michael Lennon says there’s no room for complacency because advance bookings are down and there’s a big dip in business from the UK.
