Shiels ‘hopeful’ of signing Dundalk’s Michael Duffy

After securing the services of experienced centre back Danny Seaborne – Derry City manager Kenny Shiels says he remains hopeful of signing Dundalk’s Michael Duffy.
31 year old Seaborne, who has played in the lower leagues in England and in Scotland too, is likely to make his debut against Limerick this weekend.
And speaking to this morning’s Derry Journal, Kenny Shiels said he still wants to sign Michael Duffy from Dundalk – and he said he was disappointed at missing out on both Patrick McEleney and Georgie Kelly – both of whom signed for Dundalk yesterday.
Inishowen’s Georgie Kelly made the move to the Premier Division leaders from UCD – despite strong interest from Derry, with Shiels revealing he had several discussions with the player.
