Upcoming dry spell could lead to further fodder shortage

There are fears that a predicted dry spell in the North West could lead to further fodder shortages.
While rainfall in Donegal is said to be average, the recent dry spell has led to some farmers starting to feed silage to cattle on farms where grass growth has slowed.
This combined with the fodder crisis of months past has led to serious concern over the upcoming Autumn/Winter season.
