Options regarding fire services in South Donegal to be reviewed

Donegal County Council says options outlined regarding the future provision of fire services in South Donegal will be reviewed.

In a statement issued today, the local authority says, following some public discourse regarding the proposals to close Ballyshannon Fire Station and reduce cover in the wider area to just one base, arrangements are being made for a workshop of the Donegal Municipal District to further consider the report and associated recommendations, after which proposals will be presented to full Council.

The Council says the report and recommendations initially presented will be reviewed in the context of the considerations made by the Members of the Council.
