Tyrone Football Championship Draws

Tyrone champions Omagh have been drawn against Aghyaran in the opening round of the LCC Group Tyrone Senior Football Championship.
The draw was made in Garvaghey on Thursday evening, when a couple of mouth-watering ties emerged.
The stand-out first round encounters are the meeting of 15-time champions Carrickmore and Errigal Ciaran, along with the clash of Dromore and Coalisland.
The LCC fuel group was announced as the new sponsor of the Tyrone adult championships in football and hurling, for the next three seasons.
County chairman Michael Kerr said the 2018 LCC Group Championship will be a celebration of the strength of the bond between county, club and business.
“Our brand partners and sponsors are an integral part of the resilience and strength that underpins Tyrone GAA. I thank them for their continued support, and I also acknowledge and thank the members of Club Tyrone, our volunteers, our members and all our supporters,” he said.
“Tonight we formally welcome LCC Group to the Tyrone GAA family. I know that they have been great supporters of numerous local clubs down through the years.
“The club championships in Tyrone are the Blue Riband of our competitions. It is therefore appropriate that we have a Blue Riband sponsor. The LCC Group is an independent family owned company, established as Lissan Coal Company in 1980 to provide domestic coal to homes in Northern Ireland.
Mr Kerr expressed his confidence that 2018 will produce another series of top quality matches.
“Hopefully we will be served up another year of top quality matches when the championship commences. The Tyrone Club championship continues to be the envy of other counties and proof, if needed, is that some have reverted back to the traditional championship knockout format with no back door or round robin.”
LCC Group is an independent family-owned company, established in 1980. Based in its home parish of Lissan, Lissan Coal Company was initially set up to supply domestic coal to local homes.
