People urged to comment on Draft Concrete Blocks Assessment Standard

The National Standards Authority of Ireland is today, issuing a new draft protocol for the assessment of buildings damaged by defective concrete blocks.
The draft standard is one of the reccomendations set out in the Expert Panel Report which was published last June and outlines a protocol which will be used to assess and categorise the damage in the 5000 homes in Donegal and Mayo effected by Mica and Pyrite.
The draft standard is now going out to public consultation with the closing date for submissions, July 18th.
NSAI Standards Technical Officer is Yvonne Wylde:

The Draft Concrete Blocks Assessment Standard is available on the NSAI’s website.
