Rovers draw with Derry hurts title hopes


Letterkenny Rovers hopes of lifting the Ulster Senior League title suffered a major blow on Wednesday night as they drew 2-2 with Derry City Reserves at Leckview Park.
The second half of this clash was an exhilarating one with Rovers coming from 2-0 down to level at 2-2 despite being reduced to ten men with the 56th minute dismissal of defender Ryan Lonergan.
Former Rovers man Adrian Delap and Cathal Farran score the Derry goals while Chris Malseed and Conor Tourish levelled the tie at 2-2.
It means advance Cockhill Celtic in the standings. The Inishowen side are 6 points clear of joint second placed Fanad United and Letterkenny.
Cockhill and Rovers have three games left to play while Fanad have two games left to play.
