Experimental Derry to play Ulster University


Derry start 2018 against Ulster University on Wednesday in the McKenna Cup at Celtic Park.
New manager Damian McErlain has gone with a youthful line up with the bulk of the starting 15 made up of last year’s minor and u21 teams.
Ulster minor winners in 2017, Conor McCluskey, Paudi McGrogan and Callum Brown join Conor Doherty and Patrick Coney plus a further six of the Ulster U21 finalists, Jack Doherty, Patrick Kearney, Michael McEvoy, Ben McKinless, Jordan Curran and Peter Hagan.
Eoghan Rua’s Ruairi Mooney also makes his senior debut.
