Rent prices on the rise in Donegal according to new report


The average private rent for new tenancies in Co Donegal was €545 in the third quarter of 2017.
According to latest figures published by the Residential Tenancies Board, the average rent is up €21 euro, an increase of 4% compared to the second quarter of this year.
Nationally, rents are highest in Dublin at €1,518 per month.
In the July-September period this year, the average rent in County Donegal for newly registered properties with the Residential Tenancies Board was €545, an increase of 4% compared to last quarter of this year and up 6.24% on last years figure.
The highest cost of rent in Donegal is in Letterkeeny at €615, in Glenties rent is almost half that figure at €389.
The average cost of rent in Stranorlar is €517 while renting a house in Inishowen would come at a cost of €461 per month.
