Funding granted for Donegal youth projects

100 youth projects are to benefit from half a million euro in funding.
The funding has been granted under the Local Youth Club Equipment Scheme with scout groups, music groups and youth clubs among those in receipt of the grant.
Government Chief Whip Minister Joe McHugh says the funding will be of great benefit to the youth clubs and youth projects over the coming year.
Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Katherine Zappone has approved over €500,000 for 100 youth groups across Donegal.
The funding will be administered through the Donegal ETB with each group asking their members to compile a list of equipment needed.
Minister McHugh says the grants will assist clubs in the purchase of camping, gaming, sports and audio visual equipment. Other clubs, for example, have used the grant to purchase musical equipment which would otherwise be unavailable to them.
