Tyrone and Derry boards fill managerial posts for the coming season


A number of managerial positions in the north west have been confirmed this week.
Following a meeting of the County Committee, The Tyrone County Board has confirmed the Senior Hurling and Minor Football management for the incoming season.
Mattie Lennon has been re-appointed to manage the Tyrone Senior Hurling team. This will be Mattie’s fourth season in charge over the last five years, having delivered a Nicky Rackard Cup, Division 3A and Division 3B titles and a further Division 3A Final appearance to date during his tenure.
Colin Holmes has been appointed as manager of the Minor Footballers for the new Under 17 grade until the end of the 2020 season. Colin has managed the Acadamh 17 squad for the past two seasons, winning consecutive Ulster League titles as well as winning the inaugural Ulster and All Ireland Championships in the Under 17 grade in 2017.
Elsewhere in Derry, Donegal native Paddy Campbell has been placed in charge of the Derry u17 side.
Paddy was captain of the championship winning Naomh Conail side which lifted the Dr Maguire Cup in 2005. He has been involved which a number of clubs in Derry in the last number of years.
