Setanta win Ulster Hurling Junior Club Championship

Setanta are the Ulster Hurling Junior Club Champions following their win over Derry champions Na Magha in Mac Cumhaill Park today with a scoreline of 2-17 V 3-11.
The Donegal side started well, leading 1-03 v 0-00 after 11 minutes of play. Setanta were 9 points ahead before Na Magha scored their first point of the game, but a surge from Na Magha in the second quarter left the half-time score at 1-10 v 1-07 in favour of Setanta.
The second half saw Setanta take control from the start and led by 6 points after 8 minutes of the second half. Na Magha scored a goal which brought it back to a 3 point game with 10 minutes gone in the second half.
It was a nervy final quarter for the Donegal men, leading by 7 points with 23 minutes of the second half gone, but a third goal from Na Magha brought it back to a 4 point game with 4 minutes remaining.
The sides traded scores in the dying minutes, with Na Magha scoring the final point of the game to cut the deficit to 3 points. Setanta were able to hold on for the 3 point win at the end.
Kevin Campbell was the high man for Setanta, scoring 11 points in today’s Ulster final.
