13.5% drop in number on live register in Donegal

There's been a 13.5% drop in the number of people on the live register in Donegal compared to the same period last year, down 2% on last months figures.

In Letterkenny, 3,678 are on the live register, the highest figure across the county, down 14% on the 2016 figure.

There are 12,120 people on the live register in Donegal, with a drop in figures across the county as a whole.

In Dungloe,1214 people are on the live register, a drop of 21% compared to the same period last year.

There was a fall of 13% in Ballybofey with 1722 on the register and a decrease of 9% in Ballyshannon, both compared to the same period in 2016.

There were 2242 singing on in Buncrana, down over 300 with a drop of 8% in the number on the register in Donegal Town.

While in Dunfanaghy there are 862 people on the live register, down 10% and 621 in Killybegs, also down compared to the same period last year.
