Government urged to recognise Catalonia’s independence


The Cathaoirleach of the Inishowen Municipal District is calling on the Irish Government to recognise Catalonia’s independence.
It’s after the Taoiseach claimed Ireland wouldn’t recognise the result of the Catalonian referendum which voted in favour of separating from Spain.
Meanwhile the region’s sacked President is due to make a public appearance in Belgium today after being charged with rebellion.
Speaking on the Nine till Noon show earlier Cllr. Jack Murray says given the Irish historical experience, the Government should be strongly supporting Catalonia:
