Flood prevention measures being considered for Killybegs

 

The Minister for Office of Public Works and Flooding Relief is to visit Killybegs after flooding there in recent weeks.
It’s understood that the OPW is also currently considering measures in order to prevent future flooding in the village.
Homes and businesses on Bridge Street and a local school were damaged by flood water earlier this month.
However it later emerged that an application for flood prevention measures for the area had already been submitted prior to the incident.
