The security alert in Dungiven has now ended.
A PSNI Spokesperson has confirmed two pipe bomb type devices have been recovered and are being sent for examination.
The alert began yesterday afternoon following the discovery of the devices.
Superintendent Jeremy Lindsay said: “We are thankful for the cooperation and patience of the people of Dungiven as we worked to bring this incident to a conclusion and ensure the area was safe.
As the investigation continues Police are appealing to anyone with information or who noticed any suspicious activity in the Derrychrier or Feeny Road areas of the town in recent days to come forward.
