The new Donegal Management and Backroom Team ratified at County Committee Meeting

Karl Lacey, John McElholm and Anthony McGrath are all part of Declan Bonner’s new backroom team.
The Donegal manager’s support team was ratified at the Donegal County Committee meeting last night.
New trainer McElholm spearheaded Killyclogher to the Tyrone Senior Championship title in 2016 and also steered St Mary’s of Magherfelt to McRory Cup success last year.
McElholm will be joined by 2012 All Ireland winner Karl Lacey and Gary Boyle on the coaching staff.
Lacey, who retired from inter county football after the defeat to Galway, has been working with the county development squads since last year.
Boyle has been part of Declan’s backroom teams that won Ulster minor and under 21 titles.
Anthony McGrath will be on the sport science end, while Cathal Ellis from Glenties is back as Head of the Physios after a spell with the senior squad last year and Paul Fisher is in as Strength and Conditioning coach .
Paul McGonigle who was appointed as Declan’s number 2 when Bonner was announced as manager will also be joined by Chris Byrne on Video Analysis and Ronan Doherty, Nutritionist.
The roles of logistics officer and kit man have yet to be filled.
The new Donegal manager said last night’s meeting went well and he and his coaching staff are now looking forward to getting his new squad together and getting preparations underway for the new season….
