Milford claim their second Intermediate Championship crown

Milford have defeated St. Naul’s by 5 points in the final of the Intermediate Football Championship with a scoreline of 2-11 v 0-12.
Milford led for most of the game, with one of the major points coming 13 minutes into the first half with a Dara Black goal. That goal was the difference between the sides at half time when the score was 1-06 v 0-06 in favour of Milford.
The second half was a much tighter affair, and St. Naul’s had brought the sides level with just 5 minutes remaining. Milford were able to guarantee the win through a Cathal McGettigan goal with 2 minutes of normal time remaining.
One final point for Milford left a 5 point gap between the sides at the end, 2-11 for Milford and 0-12 for St. Naul’s.
