Social worker says there was no pressure on her to investigate Garda Keith Harrison

The social worker who visited Garda Keith Harrison and his partner Marisa Simms says no pressure was put on her by gardai to investigate the couple.
Asked if she ever got a sense there was a garda operation to “get” Garda Harrison, Donna McTeague said no.
The Disclosures Tribunal is examining contact between senior gardai and Tusla about Garda Harrison.
Ms McTeague has told the Tribunal the information she got from Gardai about an argument between Garda Harrison and Ms Simms was less serious than what has since emerged.
Earlier topday at the Tribunal, Ms Simms rejected claims made at the Disclosures Tribunal that she and Garda Keith Harrison wanted the fame of being whistleblowers.
Ms Simms said the Tusla issue was just a snippet of what the couple had gone through, saying she had been pursued by blue lights as she went shopping in Dunnes and was waved at by gardaí in a patrol car as she played in the garden with her children.
Ms Simms said they had no choice but to do something.
