2% increase in house prices in Donegal

House prices in Donegal have increased by 3% in the 3rd quarter of 2017 compared to the same period last year.
According to the latest Daft.ie House Price Report, the average price of a house in the county is now €142,000, 25% above its lowest point.
Nationally, house prices have risen by an average of almost 47% from their lowest point in late 2013.
The average cost of purchasing a house in Ireland is now nearly €241,000.
Economist and author of the report Ronan Lyons says the figures revealed in this latest Daft.ie report show only modest price increases between June and September.
He says compared to the 4.3% quarterly increases seen in the first two quarters of this year, the average list price nationally rose by just 0.3% in the third quarter of 2017.
