There were 23 people awaiting admission at Letterkenny University Hospital today.
10 patients were on trolleys in its Emergency Department with a further 10 waiting on wards or in overflow areas.
Nationally, 417 people were awaiting admission at hospitals across the country today with University Hospital Limerick the most overcrowded.
