New electronic speed limit signs approved for eight schools, including Magherabeg

 

Funding has been approved by Transport Infrastructure Ireland on Friday last for the purchase and installation of periodic speed limit signs at a number of national schools in Donegal, including Magherabeg National School, the scene of a parents’ protest this morning.
The signs will display the reduced statutory speed limit along the relevant stretch of road for specific periods during school opening hours.
The works will be carried out within the next 10 weeks by Donegal County Council on the following roads –

  • N3 Kilbarron NS, Ballyshannon
  • N15 St. Eunan’s NS, Laghy
  • N56 Holy Trinity NS, Dunfanaghy
  • N56 Faugher NS, Portnablagh
  • N15 Ballylast NS
  • N13 Magherabeg NS
  • N13 Lurgybrack NS
  • N56 Ellistrin (Illistrin) NS
