Brokenshire asked to approve more money for flood hit NI farmers


The Northern Secretary is being urged to release more money for farmers hit bny flooding last month, particularly in Tyrone and Derry.
West Tyrone MLA Daniel McCrossan has written to James Brokenshire saying farmers, especially in the North West, have suffered severe loss and damage, and they still have not been provided with the necessary support and assistance that they need to get back on their feet.
Mr Crossan says due to the political stalemate in Stormont, it seems that Permanent Secretaries are unwilling or unable to release additional resources to the agriculture sector, and that’s why it’s vital that the Northern Secretary intervene………
