Gardai promise high visibility campaign for “Project EDWARD”


Gardaí say they’re employing high visibility policing on our roads today as part of ‘European Day Without A Road Death’, or ‘EDWARD’.
The annual 24 hour safety project started at midnight and aims to reduce fatalities and improve driver safety.
The initiative was marred by tragedy last year when two women died following a collusion on Glenfinn Road outside Ballybofey.
Garda Derek Cloughley from the Garda Traffic Corps says the force is doing all it can to prevent fatalities this year…………….
