Road resurfacing will cause road closures at Malin head

Donegal County Council and Failte Ireland are advising the public that road surfacing works will take place at Ardmalin, Malin Head next week.
The works are being carried out as part of the Malin Head Access and Amenity Improvement Project and as a result, access to the road will be limited.
In the interest of health & safety, access to the Signature Discovery point along the local road will be prohibited for periods next Tuesday and Wednesday, particularly during working hours.
The works are being carried out as part of the Malin Head Access & Amenity Improvement Project which include:
Road widening to accommodate passing bays, associated drainage improvements and surfacing
Localised road widening adjacent to the lower carpark, to accommodate bus parking spaces
Extending existing car park facilities to incorporate additional car parking spaces.
The construction of a toilet block and the provision of services and utilities via the public road.
Visitors planning to visit the site are asked to contact Donegal County Council for an update on the progress of the works.
