Weekend Edition with Donal Kavanagh June 17th 2017


Donal stood in for Greg on the show today, and began by talking to Sinead Breen, spokesperson for the Irish Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association, her daughter Mikaela and Shane Finn, who is about to run 24 marathons in 24 days for the ISBHA.

Shane’s first marathon starts in Donegal Town next Thursday, with a major launch the night before………..



John Tobin is a former contestant on the X Factor in the UK, who has started to make a name for himself in Irish music and has just released his new song Hometown. He joined Donal on the show this morning……………



Breídin Boyle had just lost three stone, and was on the verge of going to teach in Dubai when she discovered she had thyroid cancer and her plans disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Obviously that put paid to her goal of losing 52lbs?………. Did it hell!


A group from Carndonagh Community School Transition Year are bound for New York to represent Ireland in the World Mock Trials championship, after taking gold in the national competition.
