Seanad told of potential crisis facing Donegal children with diabetes


The Seanad has been told that children with diabetes in Donegal who need specialist treatment may now have to travel to Dublin, because a specialist in Sligo who looks after them is leaving her position and will not be replaced.
Urging the Leader of the Seanad to raise the issue with Health Minister Simon Harris, Senator Padraig Mac Lochlainn said this will further undermine a service which is already totally inadequate in Donegal.
Senator Mac Lochlainn outlined his concerns during the Order of Business earlier today……….
