Man rescued from water off Aranmore Island

A man’s been rescued from the waters off Aranmore after his boat sank this morning.
Emergency services were alerted at 10.15 after the man seen in the water close to Oilean Crone island.
A nearby fishing boat couldn’t take him from the water ; the Rescue 118 helicopter was diverted from the ongoing recovery operation at Blacksod and successfully took the man from the water.
