Seamus Coleman to undergo surgery today following injury sustained last night

Seamus Coleman will undergo surgery in Dublin today after his horrific leg injury overshadowed last night’s scoreless World Cup qualifier between Republic of Ireland and Wales.
Reports suggest the Ireland captain suffered a double fracture of the tibia in the challenge which saw Neil Taylor receive a red card.
Such an injury could keep the defender out of action for at least six months.
Last night’s draw came at the end of a turbulent week at the Ireland camp with a host of players missing last night’s game through injury.
