Sligo beat Harps in pre-season friendly

Finn Harps lost to Sligo Rovers 1-0 in their final pre season friendly on Tuesday night at The Showgrounds.
Harps boss Ollie Horgan fielded a side that included Ciaran O’Connor, Jonny Bonner, Ethan Boyle and Ciaran Coll. He also run the eye over a few trial players, including Ciaran Lafferty.
The former Celtic and Scottish underage player lasted just 25 minutes, pulling up with injury.
John Russell scored the games only goal in the second half.
A few Donegal men were also part of the Sligo team, with Ramelton’s Kyle Callan-McFadden and former Derry and Harps Goalkeeper Shaun Patton lining out.
The new Premier Division season starts next Friday 24th February with Harps at home to Corck City and Sligo on the road to Limerick.
