Antonio Rikkas has impressed in a couple of trials for Derry City of late.
Derry were in the The Netherlands over the weekend for a pre-season game against RKSV Leonnids which they won 2-1.
Rikka, who started his career with Olympique Marseilles, played in the friendly against the Dutch team and stood out in midfield.
According to the Derry News, city boss Kenny Shiels has made no secret of his desire to sign the midfielder.
