Mc Daid calls for extended school closures to beat flu virus

A Former Donegal Minister is calling for the closure of schools on a nationwide basis as a preventative measure for the current strain of flu from spreading, otherwise he says an epidemic is certain.
There has been a sharp rise in the amount cases of flu this winter which has been attributed to mild weather conditions.
As a result, former Minister and GP Dr James Mc Daid is calling for schools to be shut for the foreseeable as a solution.
He is warning that the situation will reach crisis level if appropriate action isn’t taken…………..
