McGlynn wins NW Cross Country Championship women’s race

 

Annmarie McGlynn of Letterkenny AC emerged as the winner of the women’s race in Saturday’s North West Cross Country Championship in Gransha.
She ran 20.32 for the 6KM course, which gave her an emphatic victory as she was well over a minute clear of her closest challenger, North Down AC’s Rachel Gibson.
The race winner was Neil Johnston of Springwell Running Club, who finished in a very  fast time of 18.31.
The fine weather clearly had a positive impact on race participation, with  266 runners taking part.
