UK’s Attorney General speaks out ahead of a British Supreme Court hearing on Brexit begins next week

The UK's Attorney General says the judges who ruled against ministers over leaving the EU should not "relegate the outcome of the referendum."

A British Supreme Court hearing starts next week to decide whether the Prime Minister can begin the exit process - or whether Parliament has to back it first.

Jeremy Wright, the UK Government's top legal officer, says the case "cannot be resolved in a vacuum, without regard to the outcome of the referendum."
