Jordan Boyce reaches Darts Masters Quarter Final but there’s no return to World Youth decider

The Winmau World Darts Masters and World Championship Qualifiers were held at the famous Lakeside venue this week with three Donegal men in action –Paddy Boyce, John Flood and last years World Youth Finalist Jordan Boyce.
In the Youth Masters competition, 17 year old Jordan reached the quarter finals with some impressive darts. He won three games against players from Italian, Wales and Northern Ireland winning 4-3, 4-1 and 4-3.
In the quarter finals he lost to the eventual winner Justin Van Tergouw from The Netherlands.
Jordan, a runner up in the World Youth Final in January of this year will not be making a return to Lakeside.
The Newtowncunningham thrower lost his opening round game to a Dutch opponent.
Having trailed from the start, he brought the tie back level 2-2 but lost the fifth and decisive set.
Elsewhere at the Surry venue, John Flood won two matches to reach the 2nd round of the World qualifiers and the last 64 of the Masters while Jordan’s father Paddy Boyce lost both of his first round matches.
