Good weekend for Danny Ryan and Donegal Rowers in Limerick

Donegal’s Danny Ryan was on the winners podium at the Irish Provinces Rowing Championships in Limerick over the weekend.
Danny from Boxfit Letterkenny and television series Ireland’s Fittest Family, took the lightweight men’s 2000 metre title.
Competing in the 40-49 age group, Danny completed the course in 6:34.
In the 500m sprint open age group event, Danny finished 2nd and son Keane was third, just 1 second behind.
Bernard Doohan, also of Boxfit, was 3rd in the heavyweight 2000m 30 -39 age group, setting a in a new PB
Donegal men were all 2nd in the team relay 2000 m with Paul Mc Gonagle Kincasslagh Rowing club joining the Boxfit trio of Danny, Keane and Bernard.
Kincasslagh’s Kathleen McGonagle was 3rd in her age group, 30 – 39, breaking 8 mins for 2000m while her club-mate Aidan hit a pb in the 2000m lightweight men.
