Rilion Gracie Jiu Jitsu Donegal – Takes more Gold Medals in Madrid

Two head coaches from Rilion Gracie Ireland – BJJ/MMA club, based in Letterkenny & Donegal Town, took part over the weekend, in a prestigious international tournament, the IBBJF Madrid International Open.
Brian Barney Coyle, is the black belt head coach in the Letterkenny gym, and won gold in the Masters black belt feather weight No-Gi division , and Bryan Gorman , the head coach & owner of the the Donegal Town gym, took gold in the masters brown belt medium heavyweight no-gi division, and the Donegal Town native also secured a silver medal in the open weight division.
Earlier in the day, Brian Barney Coyle, secured a silver medal in the light feather Gi division, with Bryan Gorman also taking a bronze for his efforts also in the middleweight Gi division. Brian Barney Coyle recently only was awarded his black belt, by Rilion Gracie himself, and whom the club brand is named from,, being the youngest son of Carlos Gracie, one of the original founders of BJJ. Barney Coyle is one of less than ten indigenous Irish BJJ Black Belt holders in Ireland.
Brian Coyle’s Letterkenny branch is Donegal’s only full time BJJ / MMA club, with Brian Gormans affiliate club in Donegal Town, which operates out of DT Fitness gym. Rilion Gracie Donegal – is one of the busiest and most competitive martial arts clubs in the county, if not country, with club members competing in local, international, European, and World level competitions throughout the past year, and will have club members no less competing in the IBJJF Paris International Open, upcoming next week.
