Two men arrested following aggravated burglary in Derry this morning

Two men have been arrested following an aggravated burglary that occurred in the Glenabbey Street area of Derry this morning. 
At approximately 5.40am, police received a report that a 25 year old man had been assaulted in his house by two other men.
The 25 year old man required hospital treatment to a head injury but has since been discharged.
The two men are believed to have made off in a dark coloured car and drove in the direction of the Skeoge roundabout.
Detectives investigating this incident later carried out a search at premises in the Ardnamoyle Park area and have seized a car for further examination while the two men, aged 26 and 23, were arrested in the Carnhill area shortly before 11am.
Both men have been arrested on suspicion of gbh with intent, aggravated burglary and possession of an offensive weapon and currently remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
While police have the two arrests, they are still appealing to anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact detectives at Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
