Derry City’s hunt for third place in the Premier Division of the Airtricty League continues tonight in their final home game of the season.
Kenny Shiels side face off against Sligo Rovers at the Brandywell in the last of the northwest derby battles.
A win tonight will secure third, as all they need is two points from their remaining two games.
Sligo have already won this season at the Brandywell and Shiels knows it will not be easy.
He told derrycityfc.net: “We just want to get this one over the line if we can but it’s going to be a really tough game, It would be nice to travel to St. Pat’s with the luxury of having qualified for third place, which would be a good position in the table for the club and the supporters. That’s the most we can possibly achieve, so we can’t be happier than that at the moment.”
Niclas Vemmelund and Harry Monaghan are both suspended for tonight’s game.
