A Donegal Senator has expressed his shock at a response from Minister John Halligan over the issue of pupils from the Urris area of Inishowen having to travel to Buncrana instead of Carndonagh to attend secondary school.
Minister for School and Transport, John Halligan said, in response to the issue, that Bus Eireann has advised that in general, children residing in the Urris area are not eligible for school transport to schools in Carndonagh.
Senator Padraig McLoughlin says this is farcicle as children have to travel through the treacherous Mamore gap during winter months…
