Donegal Sports Partnership will host the “Building Positive Clubs” conference next Saturday October 22nd at Colaiste Ailigh in Letterkenny.
The theme of the conference is “Sport Changes Lives” and the event will focus on the powerful role that sport can play in all aspects of life.
There’ll be inspirational accounts from a number of prominent sports personalities who will discuss issues which are more common than some might think in today’s society.
The conference will also highlight the benefits of positive coaching.
Among the speakers is one of the best known Gaelic footballers of the past 2 decades – Oisin McConville.
The former Armagh GAA player spent years gambling before confronting his issues and turning his life around.
This week Oisin Kelly looked ahead to the conference with Oisin Conville but first event co-ordinator Therese Lafferty out lined what the conference is all about..
All proceeds will go to the Jigsaw Donegal youth mental health support service.
