Declan and Brian Boyle lead the Martin Howley Donegal Harvest Stages Rally after two stages by 13.3 seconds.
The Ford Fiesta WRC was fastest on both of the opening runs through Kilcar and Glencolmcille.
The Subaru of Garry Jennings and Rory Kennedy is second while this years Donegal International Rally winner Manus Kelly, who has Gareth Doherty calling the notes, trail by another 9 seconds.
Chris Amstrong is fourth in the leading two wheel drive escort, 2 second ahead of the Donegal crew of Damien Gallagher and Mac Walsh.
