Failings identified by HIQA at Fiona House being addressed

hiqaThe Chairperson of the Little Angels Housing Association has acknowledged that she and the manager of Fiona House in Letterkenny were not fully aware of safety and reporting protocols at the time of a HIQA inspection of the premises in April of this year.
There are seven people with disabilities at the centre, aged from their early thirties to mid forties.
Yesterday, HIQA found major non-compliance at the centre, with unexplained bruising, missing money and poor training among the issues identified.
On today’s Shaun Doherty Show, Geraldine Doherty said since then, they have received substantial training, and issues identified by HIQA are being addressed:
