Seamus Heaney’s life and work is being celebrated in a new cultural centre in Derry.
The permanent exhibition called “HomePlace” is located in Bellaghy – his homeland which he often wrote about and returned to.
The centre features a replica of his Dublin attic study, a performance area and library space.
Actor Stephen Rea will perform a reading tomorrow as part of the opening festival and there are cultural events taking place until Monday.
