Donegal Tourism will have a stand today at what’s been billed as the largest business tourism showcase to ever take place under one roof in Ireland.
70 meeting planners from around the world have been touring the country over the past few days to see the very best that Ireland has to offer as a business destination, and they’re converging on the RDS later for ‘Connect16’ – a massive showcase for the meeting and events sector.
At the Donegal Stand, six hotels will be represented, along with a number of food and drink producers, while YouTube sensations the Byrne Brothers will provide entetainment.
Donegal County Council’s Chief Executive Seamus Neely says it has become quite the norm for large multinational companies to reward their employees by bringing them overseas, and increasingly, companies are having their annual conference abroad.
He say’s there’s a strong arguement for that to happen in Donegal.
