Tidy Towns committees assessing adjudicators reports as three Donegal towns take gold

Tidy Towns Committees are today assessing their performances and studying the adjudicators’ reports.
Letterkenny was the highest placed town in Donegal, with a final mark of 323, four behind national winners Skerries.
Glenties was in second place with 319 points, closely followed by Malin on 318 points.
Letterkenny and Glenties were awarded Gold Medals, as was Buncrana, which was in joint fourth place in Donegal on 317 points. Carrigart, which was also awarded 317 points, received a silver medal, as did Malin.
Raphoe, which was awarded 310 points, received a bronze medal.
Raphoe was also highly commended in the Waste Prevention category, while the Endeavour award for the county went to Killea.
Carrigart, a previous winner of the Gaeltacht award was highly commended on this occasion, with Belmullet taking the accolade.
